When thinking of what my first blog should be about, I compared it to how I prioritize in life. Although I love writing about health, momma tips, etc., nothing and I mean NOTHING should be written without taking a moment (or a whole blog) to talk about God because he is number one in my life.
When I met my husband 5 years ago, he took me to church with him. After attending the church for a few weeks, we went up and introduced ourselves to the pastor. He asked if we were saved. Huh? I didn’t even know what that meant….To be a saved Christian is to accept God and ONLY God as your savior and ask him to save you. He is the one and only way to heaven. My husband was saved at an early age of 5, but still him and the pastor got down on their knees with me as I asked God into my heart as my savior. My life has truly changed since having God at the centerfold of everything. As a baptist, I believe you truly only need to be saved once and you will have eternal life. God knows we were all born sinners and always will be, but we do not need to be “re saved” after each sin we commit. We can ask for forgiveness, sure. But once we are child of God we can not lose that. Romans 3:23 states “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God..” God already knew we would never be perfect after Adam and Eve, but he has given us a chance to be saved and get to heaven through him…even with all our imperfections!!!! How amazing is that?!
I find myself growing more each and every day and feel it is important to reach out to a scary and dying world. Have you accepted Jesus Christ as your savior? Let me help lead you to answers you have been searching for if you don’t full understand. He changed my life and he is waiting to change yours! Jeremiah 33:3 “Call unto me and I will answer thee….”
Our rule in our household is to always make God the foundation. That way, when we fall, we will always fall back on God. The bible provides every answer we need in life. Who could ask for a more loving God?
Accept God as your savior and put him first today! 😀
